Had a shock when we went to the Eden Project, always imagined pineapples to be like a palm tree.  They're tiny ground hugging size. Also went to Madera (sp) and was surprised at the banana 'trees'.  Especially as they cut them down to the ground in the Autumn. When we went in December they were just stumps.
