my incy is playing up too, the Brinsea has maintained it's temp but the Covatutto has repeatedly gone too high, i have to keep taking off the lid and wafting air in to bring the temp down again, 16 of the 18 Cream legbars in the brinsea are fertile and developing well, the RIR in the covatutto i only set on wednesday so i don't know yet if i've got boiled eggs.............

My Brinsea is ok too.
So is the other one. I have them in the office which doesn't get too much sun.
Can you open a window to get a breeze?
I have done this although then find the humidity drops so have had to top up!

Try an oscillating fan pointing at it. High temps can be deadly early on in incubation,  one degree over can be fatal even over short periods.

Make sure they are not in the sun !! Being in sunlight can cause huge temp increases in a short period of time.

My Corti's are unnafected by external heat issues unless they are in direct sunlight.

they are not in sunlight, all windows and doors are wide open anyway because it was too warm for us, it's cooler today and the covatutto at the moment is running at 99.4, i have a digital themometer as well as the mercury one.

I'd offer you mine but I'm just too far away and it is tempermental at te best of times. Will keep my fingers crossed for you though as a pretty poor second best!
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Thanks guys! never thought i would be wishing for cooler weather!  ::) seems to work great untill the temp in lounge gets to 26oC then its starts rising!  >:( the other incy is fab (touched wood quickly!) but i have 2 different batches crammed in there at the mo and tomorrow is day 18 for the next look so have no choice but to move them back into the other one! am gonna try the suggestion of a fan in the room today see if that helps
