Caterpillar problem

Caterpillar problem

Hi,

My neighbour has asked me to post this. He has a load of small caterpillars (photo below) on his red cabbage.
Can anybody advise the best tactic for getting rid of these?

I like instant non chemical solutions where possible so would be picking them off  ;)

Might be a bit late now but prevention really is the best cure.  The only way to do this is to net the brassicas against the cabbage white butterfly who lay their eggs on the leaves.

For now, check under every leaf.  Look for small yellow eggs and rub them off.  If you see any caterpillars get rid of them too.
