Potting size for Jalapenos

Hi guys. I'm after some advice on my jalapenos which are now almost 20 inches tall and flowering well.

They are in 6inch pots at the moment and I am wondering whether I should be transferring them into bigger ones??? I've read elsewhere that keeping them in smaller pots can encourage them to fruit more?
