Have I poisoned my potatoes with Magnesium Sulphate?

Yesterday, rather foolishly, I sprinkled 5kg of Magnesium Sulphate to the ground between my potatoes (4mx4m), and watered it in.  There was no information on the packet about quantities and I couldn't find anything in the books or online.  The yellow and brown leaves closely match the symptoms of magnesium deficiency, and there's nothing to suggest blight.  But now I'm worried I may have overdone it, help!  Does anyone know what's the recommended quantity, and what the impact of applying too much would be?

5 kilos is a lot. A handful per sqm would probably have done. Let us know what happens - you have an experiment on your hands!
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

The only harm you've done is wasting money  ::)

It can be used as a foliar feed at 2oz per gallon of water.

Magnesium sulphate aka epsom salts. I think two heads would be preferable to the effects of an overdose. :D :D :D :D :D
