leaving chook alone?

leaving chook alone?

im going away for 3 days..at present i lock them in at night, but the coop/run is pretty secure, is it ok to not lock them in, and leave enough feeding for them while im away.?

what about the egg collecting? thoughts

Do you have a neighbour who could keep an eye on them, maybe check water and corn levels in return collect & keep the eggs ?

I would not recommend leaving them for three days, any number of things could happen, such as,tipping their water over, rodents getting in and eating all the food, coop door slams shut, etc.
