rubbing in vinegar

so i will soon be introducing new birds to my two, i have read now that rubbing diluted vinegar onto each bird before they roost, put the newbies in so in the morning they all smell the same, has anyone tried that.    nickyx

When we only had 3 hens one took to plucking the bums of the other 2 so after trying everything to stop her we ended up swaping her for a different one.  We didn't use vinegar or anything, just put her in the shed at roosting time.  She did have a difficult time settling in so I would say, yes, try anything.  We now know it is always better to introduce more than 1 at a time too.  Try diluted vinegar in a spray bottle maybe.
