I can't remember where but I recall reading that you do something slightly different with garlic you are harvesting to plant the cloves again, anyone got any ideas? 

Also can I harvest now (those types that are ready now - Early purple wight / chesnok wight) and re-plant some of these cloves in oct / nov this year??

I harvested my Porcelain garlic last year in July and would have waited till August but they were starting to rot in the wet summer. anyway, I kept some and replanted very late last year and they are growing well indeed. Didn't do anything special at all.
