I am on the verge of taken all my over wintering BB out this weekend and wondered if it was too late to sow Leek and Swede.

If okay, how long before they would be ready to eat as I want to change my plot around as each year I learn something different.

Also, just one more question.

If I pick and pop the remaining BB pods, can I add the seeds to a tin/bag to dry and use in October/november this year for next spring.

I think you are a bit late to sow leeks, but you might be able to find some plants for sale.

I think about now is the correct time to sow swedes, but they are not a crop I grow.

If you want to save seed from your broad beans (I take it that is what you mean by BB) you will have to leave the plants in until they have completely died back and the pods are brown and brittle. then shell out the beans which will look like the ones you bought in a packet.  At the moment they are still immature.
