Which pond

Hi
 I have wanted some khaki campbells for a while and now someone has offered me some eggs
what sort of pond would be best  a dug out one  or a couple of those little plastic sandpit pools, I like the idea of a proper pond but with the pools they would be easier to keep clean, what do other people use?
