germination problem

hi, i sowed some seeds in my new patch about 2wks ago, they are just coming through, the problem is i need to hoe but don't want to disturb my new friends!!!(it's hard to differentiate)

Get on yer hand's and knees and hand weed my friend it's the only way with seedlings. Tedious but it 's worth it. Good luck

next time you sow owt prepair your seed bed and leave it a couple of weeks before you sow anything,just before you sow owt give it a good rub over with the rake 1st and this will destroy most of the weeds that your having problems with now.

i did that, bed was idle for 1-1/2 wks.problem is that i got top soil and it has weed seeds in it>i think.

dont know what the weather is like near you celt but here its so dry that nowt is germinating but the minute we get some rain it will be a weed explosion
another thing is when you water your seeds try and concentrate the water along the line
