Really small leek seedlings?

Could someone offer some advise. Do Leeks generally take a long time to get to pencil size? Mine are about 9 weeks old and are still only about 2 inches tall.

Not being a big leek grower I dont know for definate, but I know they can take a while to get thick...9 weeks old is still relatively baby, give them another month or so...theres loads of time to get them in still...

hi fuzzie,my leeks have been in a month now and doing well, they were only half a pencil thin but were 6-7 inches tall,i top and tailed them as suggested ,to reduce transpiration??(i think thats water loss through the leaves).i started them the last week in feb on the window sill.
