hi, my first time on this site, my name is cazza.Myself and my partner have had an allotment for 3 years now. I would be gratefull if some could answer my question concerning duck.One of our ducks has developed an eye problem, both eyes have now gone milky. i wondered if this was simular to cataracht in human eyes. Also would this efeect its general health, it seems ok and is eating and drinking, thanks for any help

Do they look bubbly or foamy? This is relatively common and can be caused by igeneral or specific infections.

How old is the duck?

Could it have sustained an injury?

Hi cazza. Welcome to the forums.

Don't know why the eyes would go cloudy or how serious it is but I know they need clean water to wash out the ducts regularly so wonder if this is caused by an infection.

This is just a pure guess obviously. I'm not a duck keeper so hopefully someone will be able to give a better prognosis.
How often do you change their water ?
