We have successfully hatched our first set of chicks today using a broody hen. They are all out of their shells and 2 are wondering around. The 3rd cannot lift it's head, it's eyes are not open like the others and it looks deformed. We have left it in the nest with mum but not sure how long to leave it before deciding what to do. It was strong enough to get out on it's own but I'm not sure what's wrong with it will change. Does anyone have some advice....pleeeeaase

Well maybe I over reacted. It's still not strong like the others but is now able to stand for a while and really tries to hold it's head up. It did a poo this morning too so that must be a good sign. It's still being looked after by the broody so it must be a good sign......guess we have to be patient. The other 2 are brilliant :-)
