Tea
« on: June 04, 2009, 14:07 »
You've enjoyed your cheese and crackers and you're thinking, 'I'll never sleep, I better have a nice tea to settle my stomach.'

What would be your top three teas?

Now I'm not a tea man, never have been, but I had high stress levels and a bit of a 'dark' time last year and cutting back on the coffee is one of the many changes on the road to recovery... so... here's my favourites

1. Lady Grey (a subtle and aromatic flavour that is different to, but doesn't stray too far from Earl Grey.)

2. Earl Grey (the classic and the one that made me think ok, tea can be nice.)

3. Ceylon (the chill-out tea)

I never have milk (another life-change) or sugar.

This might possibly be the dullest thread ever.

Earl Grey every time for me like Twinings best (although sainsbury's taste the difference range is not bad and probably made by twinings for them), and Liptons Earl Grey is actualy a very different flavour but very enjoyable (their bottled ice tea is quite paletable too).

I like the full cow in any tea I drink ...trouble is it rarely sits still  :D

Tetley's do an Earl Grey with Vanilla, which sounds awful I admit, but drunk black it's actually rather refreshing.

For everyday brew it's got to be Yorkshire tea blended locally & good quality

At work Earl Grey because they don't have Yorkshire tea

On ocassion Lady Grey it is refreshing

With Christmas cake or fruit cake Keemun

When Ive had enough tea & coffee Redbush
Playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!

Tea - yuk  :tongue2: :tongue2:
Only drank the stuff when I was pregnant (for some strange reason had cravings for it) and had it black no sugar (couldn't keep coffee down).
No wish to be pregnant again so no more tea  :D
Staffies are softer than you think.

It's got to be strong, ordinary builders' tea for me.  Tetley, Yorkshire, not fussy - so long as you can stand a spoon up in it  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I'm with Jpyful, tea is the most yucky stuff going (but then I'm Lactose intolerant).  Black coffee, no sugar four cups in the morning and I can do anything that's wanted of me, before hand, back off.  When I was pregnant (bearing in mind my intolerance) I would mug the milkman each morning for strawberry milkshake! :)

For "normal" tea I like Yorkshire tea. My mum has a deli near her and they do a very expensive range of herbal tea, teapigs £3.99 for 15 bags
BUT they are superb - my favourite is licorice & peppermint which sounds weird but is really nice and has an unusual sweet flavour - nothing like allsorts  :)

Celestial Seasonings vanilla & hazelnut herbal tea
Darjeeling
Real Japanese green tea from the top cut (sadly, very expensive)
