onions looking poorly
« on: June 02, 2009, 22:00 »
Dear Garderners,

I looked at the four rows of onions my daugher planted and noticed that what were up to now health plants have begun to look a bit down in the mouth: some of the green shoots have started to wilt a bit and turn a bit white (a bit like my leeks when they, invariably, get attacked by the leak moth). Is there any remedy for this please?

dunno but our site has had it's onions decimated by something, either onion fly or alium leaf miner. the maggots are brownish and the leaves are curling something dreadful. i'm pulling all mine up.

the winter onions are fine though.
