Tell me about it Aunt Sally  I did get a blight warning Last week but to be honest I said no way its far too early but maybe it was right. I will find out in the next hour or so if it is blight or not.

Well I have made a video of the results and posted it on youtube here WpOBpHjaasEfeature=channel_page  for you all to see. Before you look at it just guess if it is blight or not and see if you are right at the end.

Thanks DD. I am seeing alot of threads about blight just now so I took my suspects off for testing and it was easy to do. If Dithane doesn't work for people then they can try the bordeux mix as an alternative or use both.

Prevention is the key with blight.

I would have commented on the result, but that would spoil the "fun"!

We should start a poll on the results and see how many people are right or wrong :D

Good information there Iain, so what do you think is causing the marks on your potato leaves.

The plant in question was at the front of the row and I have been spraying nutrimax onto the leaves to boost them. I think a combination of wind and sun have damaged the plant and the nutrimax seems to have burned into the leaves and given the brown looking patches. I was worried I have to say. The yellow in the leaves comes from them being at the base of the plant and they have wilted a bit.
If I didn't have that kit I would have pulled that plant out and it would have been wasted.

Haha yabba no pregnancy here :tongue2:

As always Iain, many thanks for the heads up.

As a bit of an aside, I've been discussing Christmas potatoes with 'iwantanallotment' and I mentioned to her that it would be worth seeking your advice. If you've no objection, perhaps I'll PM you with our thoughts?
