brassicas and weed suppressant fabric !
« on: June 02, 2009, 12:01 »
hi all

Another newbie with lots of questions....
firstly I am trying to go down the organic route and have a plot that I am trying to reclaim I am in no real hurry now to get it all cultivated as for once in my life I have a realistic expectation on what I can manage :)
My question today is, having previously covered a 4 m sq patch and taken all the weed tops off would it be possible to cover it with weed suppressing fabric and plant pot grown brassicas through it?

I haven't dug all the area over as I understand brassicas like firm ground (but will if recommended), I am also hoping that the fabric will conserve moisture as all water will have to be carried to the plot!

thanx in anticipation
