Hi guys

I hatched some eggs 5 days ago and lost wuite a number of chicks, we have three left and have a problem with two of them

One has a poorly leg, if i pick it up and put it in my hand it can stand on both legs, however when i put it down its right leg goes right back over and it hops around.  Today two of its twos are turning black on the very tips.  However it seems cheerpy in itself and is eating and drinking fine.

The second chick has been the same since birth, if i pick it up it will stand for a few seconds then it always falls over twards the right, it just constanty lyes there.  I keep feeding it and giving it water but does seem to improve.

Can anyone advice what to do for the best?

i'm sorry i really don't know what to advise, it doesn't look good though me thinks, someone with more know how will be along shortly.

Sorry have the same opinion as tmg. Did you hatch them in an incubator or under a hen?

  sorry to sound heartless but if after 5 day's they have'nt improved I think it would be kinder to let them go, even if they survive  they will probably be picked on if put with other birds for being weak

I hate doing this and like you have hung onto them hoping they might improve but sometimes you just cant help them
