thin stems

hi i am new to the allotment thing so a have many questions that i might be asking over the coming months, i have grown some peppers and chillies from seed i have poted them on two times now but they dont seem to fill out they are quite thin how do you get the stems to thicken out

Chilli plant stems are thin, I wouldnt worry about them
my chilli shake and jalapeano are about 50cm high but about 5mm thick
