Oh and I forgot Joy, why do you need 2?  with the one from Ascott, Brian had done full grown birds and I've done small chicks with it.  The gap that's left when you pull the handle down can go very small with the little adjustable screw .  :)

The wall mounted ones on ebay at the moment are different to the ones that I saw when I was looking. The type I looked at was like a funnel that held the hen in place whilst you did the deed - hence why you needed two sizes. I suppose when you've done it once then it gets easier, doesn't it?  :(
Grannie, the original type that I was looking at was a funnel/tube type of thing and came in different sizes, but think I will get one of the other wall type - although not looking forward to using it - but if no homes can be found for cockerels then the deed has to be done and i don't think I could break their necks manually  :(
