Playing catchup ( image intensive )
« on: May 30, 2009, 07:53 »
Due to the fact that the dahlias take absolute priority I'm a smidge behind the rest of you with my planting up/out but, now that dahlia beds are planted I've been able to play catchup :D

Potting Shed

Tomatoes : Galina, Rose De Berne, Gold Medal

Cucumber : Wautoma

Chilli Peppers : Lots of varieties

Sweet pepper : Orange Bell

Sweet Pepper : N.Napia

Chilli Pepper : Unknown #3 ( seeds kindly donated by robbodaveuk )

Chilli Pepper : Pretty In Purple

Melons : Collective Farm Woman ( about to be moved to our lil greenhouse )

Small Greenhouse

Tomatoes : Galina, Rose De Berne, Gold Medal

Big empty space : Any suggestions as to what I can fill this with?

Large Greenhouse

Dahlias : In bed at last :D

3 Sisters : Sweetcorn ( True Gold ), Courgette ( Verde De Milano ), Squash ( Butternut ), Runners ( Cherokee Trail Of Tears ), Borlotti Beans

Beetroot : Pronto ( this is the second sowing, already eaten the first :tongue2: )

Broad Beans : Super Aqualduce

Broad bean flower : Looks even more gorgeous IRL

Allium bed : Seeds - Red baron, Ailsha Craigs : Sets - ... urm Sturton I think :tongue2:

Leeks : Bleau De Solaise

Brassicas : Broccoli - Summer Purple Sprouting, Quick Heading Calabrese : Cabbages - Greyhound, Rouge Tete Noir

Close view :

Almost on my plate :D

Peas : Kelvedon Wonder, Sugar Snaps

Peas : Outside view ( the sugar snaps have almost reached the roof! :O )

Our patch in the corner

Our lil greenhouse : The melons, aubergines and cucumbers are going in here any day now

Spud Bed : Pentland Javelin

Damn, we're gonna eat like kings :D

Nice collection, Yabba.

The empty space you are wondering about - MORE PEAS!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Don't lie, I've seen your efforts ;)

Looks like a farm compared to mine!

All I need now is some chickens ( working on it ) :D

Very jealous...

I've got some pods marked up for saving seed. If you'd like to take a risk on a blondes idea of "safe sex"  ( for chillies that is ) then PM me your address when I harvest them and I'll happily send you some to play with :D

Stop showing off :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2:

I can't help it :D

You are lucky to be able to use that much space :)

Absolutely :D :D

I wish! It's my mates "garden", I'm just lucky enough to be allowed to grow in the spare space ;)

The peas and sugarsnaps went in about half way through march. It helps that most of my growing space is under covers, kinda gives me a "further south" kind of environment ;)

It's no wonder we all do this huh? ... hell of a buzz when it all starts to come together :D
