Have diagnosed my hen Ace to have scaly leg mites and will treat accordingly (vasaline), how is best to treat my cockerel as he is feather legged? presuming he has them also.

You could try painting on liquid paraffin.  I used the johnson Scaly leg lotion and the smothered with vaseline and none survived

Yes a lotion sounds slightly more practical for him, just hope he lets me handle him with the littlest of fuss!
