Hi Everyone!  I was wondering how often we should clip our hens' wings.  We clipped them about two months ago when we first got them.  All I know is that they can fly well about three feet off the ground now!

So could mine, now I don't bother! At least they can try and fly a little bit to get themselves out of bother if they need to. If you do decide to clip it should be just one wing and then again on the other wing after they have moulted and got new feathers.

i personally wouldn't clip them put go for a roof on the run instead.
we have a border to our garden made out of the infamous chicken wire and they don't bother trying to get over it because it looks too unstable.
