URGENT ADVICE!!!!

Help!!

One of the chicks under my broody hens has been trying to get out of its egg for the past 24 hours. I tried to give it a hand by pulling away a small piece of shell but the shell bled!!! I am really worried that i have meddled and made the situation worse - what should i do? Apart from leave the egg alone that is

The best thing you can do is leave it alone, I know it is tempting to help, but usually if they don't hatch by themselves under broodys there is something wrong with the chick, as the hen will usually help.
Fingers crossed it will be fine
