I might get a clip round the ear for this, but "lacewing" is in Gillingham.

I had a cheap plastic apology for a greenhouse years ago, first wind and it was a mangled wreck, boy was I cross  >:(

Hi

Sorry to hear about the wind damage  I am in Greenhithe , near Dartford and I have a few spares - two gerkins, some left over tomota plants (haven't been potted on yet so looking a bit sorry for themselves but should be ok) some chillies and peppers + some brassicas which you would be more than welcome to have if you want  They are all desperate to get potted out/on anyway but running out of room.

Regards

Aubergine

I know just how you feel the same thing happened to me and I was ridiculously upset.  Re-planted most things and have now caught up, just have a good cry and things really  will seem better in the morning.  I would think you still have time to resow most things.

You don't say where you are, I'm down south and I've got toms outside now - I only have a little greenhouse and they are too big! If your worried you could put them out in the day time and bring them in somewhere warmer at night :)

Beds? That's well north of Watford, can't describe that as down south.  :)

'Tis if you are in the Midlands - Beds is the London suburbs, init? ;)

Kent on the other hand - that's nearly France!

Sorry about your disaster, it is so hard when the little plants you have cherished get wrecked.   :(But there is still time ...  particularly when you are south and we are 'promised' the first decent summer in years. 8)

Two weeks ago the gales lifted the grow house (pots and all) and launched it in true NASA style across the garden... We spent hours trying to find seedlings in the grass and re pot them... really really annoyed.

Then the next day I got a call from the Parish Council advising that an allotment had become free (after 9 months on the waiting list)... Hopefully your silver lining will show it's head soon...

Re some plants try B&Q they're practically giving stuff away...

So sorry for your loss, I've lost things before and it can be really disheartening. Would love to offer you some spares, but we are a little too far away. :(

Btw, I was under the impression that the north/south divide was Watford Gap, not Watford, therefore Beds is South!!!!  :D

If you live in London, Watford is quite far enough north to consider the need for arctic clothing.  ;)

Also sorry to hear about this, a similar thing happened to me last year, now our plastic greenhouse is anchored down with thick rope and huge tent pegs! Very much agree about sourcing new plants from car boots sales, all the summer fetes will be starting too and you can always get good bargains at those!
