Hi and nesting box
« on: May 27, 2009, 14:12 »
Hi i am brand new to the forum today and brand new to chicken keeping last week.  We bought a traditional ark and 4 baby bantams to live in our garden, they are completely adorable and gaining in confidence every day.  Our coop didn't come with a nesting box and i wondered if anyone knew where you could buy them seperately, can i put one inside the house as they have loads of room and it is quite dark in the back??
All help and tips on keeping chicks very greatfully received

If there is plenty of room you can put one in your ark - a box or basket will do ideally covered, draught free and private but just make sure it's lower than their perch. Also make sure you can get to it to retrieve the eggs.  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.
