Never give up ...
« on: May 26, 2009, 20:21 »

Just wanted to share a success.

Back in February I planted some celery seed.  In fact after nearly six weeks in the propagator I wrote in to say nothing had happened!  Well I gave them another week and then switched the prop off as everything else was up to speed and / or out.  We were tidying the garage and i decided to move the prop to storage for the summer months and just left the tray in there.  Week before last I thought "I must throw the compost on the raised bed and clean the tray"  and lo and behold a tray full of seedlings - a bit spindly but growing!  I was a bit unsure they would be ok and moved them to the shed (a bit like a hybrid half barn greenhouse thing).  I have just spend a happy time pricking out 80 of the said seedlings  - still a bit spindly and not sure all will survive - but hey they are fighters!!!

My second go at parsnips were also a great success so rather elated!

Life is goooood ...............

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
