Please help me if you can!  This is my first post so be patient.  I am very new to chicken keeping only getting my first 3 ex-batts 4 weeks ago (seems alot longer though!)  Anyway back to my problem, I have just noticed that one of my girls has a lorge lump on what I would call her breast.  It is not central but on her right hand side and I would say the size of a golf ball!!!  She seems fine in herself and is eating and drinking and has laid an egg today too.  Is it her crop?  I thought this would be central to her chest?! 

Please help if you can

You are absolutely right Nickchick.  It is her crop and no it's not central

The crop is to one side, so looks like she is perfectly normal

It sounds very much like her crop to me Have a look, feel first thing in the morning before food and it shouldn't be as noticeable then

Thank you all for taking the time to reply.  On further inspection of the others I have to admit that their 'crops' are rather large although Mary does seem to have a bigger one.  Perhaps she is just greedy.
