advice on vegetable scraps please

We are getting pols next week and I'd like advice on vegetable scraps to feed them, as an extra to their diet. I've been told that potato peelings and bread can be fed to them, but as potatos go green and bread is frowned upon as a feed to garden birds, I like to know what other members feed to their hens. Thanks.

I never feed fresh bread , they get one slice of hard stale bread between the 3 hens about once a week (keeps them busy for 10 mins ) the rest i crumb and mix a handful in with the cooked peelings.

you only have to cook potato, but a lot of keepers will cook other veg to make it mashable

just watch them go for a cob of corn! it's soooo funny!
