Broody goose??
« on: April 03, 2007, 21:28 »
I have 5 Embden, 3 females and two males. One of my females has laid about 15 eggs so far this laying season, and has sat tightly on the nest for the last 2 days, only getting off this morning for a drink and some bread and wheat. Has she gone broody? or is she just thinking about it, and going to abandon the nest in a couple of days and start laying again. She has pulled alot of her down off her chest and put it carefully in the nest, she is very protective of the nest so I was wondering if she is broody. From the information i have told you what are your ideas?
