Much the same vein as "Antirrhinum" & "Snap Dragon". It's easier to spell. (I cheated & used a spell checker!).

I've always called antirrhinum bunny rabbits but don't know if anyone else does.  Livingstone daisies I call sugar daisies.

My plugs of buzy lizzies went leggy but luckyily homebase are doing 30 for £3.99 at the mo'.  Cheaper online of course on some sites.

When I was a kid we called antirrhinum bunny rabbits too, then some how they became snap dragons probably an age thing.

im·pa·tiens is how I say it.

I'm sure they say im-pat-iens on GQT!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

After reading all the useful information on impatiens, I promptly lifted all my plants, put them into pots and gave them some shade and TLC.  They're starting to pick up, bless them, so I'll wait a while then replant.  Thanks all.  ;)

We called antirrhinum "bunny rabbits' noses" as kids.

The t/sh pronunciation is one that will have changed over time; I was wondering if there was geographical variance, or if it tied in to other factors (eg learning Latin at school).
