Duck Wing Clipping - Welsh Harlequin

Just after some advice on whether it is necessary to clip the wings of ducks and at what age in weeks this should be done.
Our garden is not massive but people tell me they dont need a lot of room to fly off?

I've never needed to clip the wings of any of my ducks. They can fly a couple of feet but never enough to get over the 6' fence round the garden. They've never got over the 4' one to the veg patch either although I think they could if they tried hard enough! Just too lazy!

I'm in Andover although I am having to travel to Cornwall to collect the Harlequins some 150 miles away I believe they are also breed in north wales
