Carrots and raspberry canes

  we,ve got a row of raspberry canes in, they are only small at the moment, tallest being around 24". I was wondering if i could sprinkle some carrot seeds amongst them as the soil they are in is quiet fine, thought i could spred them thinly amongst the canes.
Is this ok

If it were me I don't think I would....   

As has been said: Raspberries need the moisture to help produce good sized fruit. Carrots would nab that for themselves and then grow down into the raspberry roots (which tend to be quite shallow).

You might be able to get away with a few lettuce close by if you want to make the best of the space. 

But.... you could just try it around one cane and see if it makes a huge difference!
