My lovely young runner bean plants are being attacked by something (or someone) that is making  little bites all around edge of the leaves. The leaves have now got serrated edges. Does anyone know what this is and  what I can do about it? Thanks!

Slugs or snails would be my guess

Thanks,  I followed the lead you suggested and it sounds like weevils. I don't want to use chemicals to attack them though (after all I will have to eat whatever the weavils will leave). What do the weavils look like? I have found some stripey small larvae looking things.

weevil are grey/brown grubs.....yours don't sound the same thing but if you can find them just squash them...tha'll stop them. Simples
