some of us more rural folk prefer to shoot and eat.

No problem with that but you'd get arrested if you used a gun on our site !

On rural land it is of course a different set of issues and concerns.

However, the OP was asking about control of rabbits on allotments in the City of York.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Bow and arrow - only on a Sunday if you shoot a Scotsman wearing a kilt

You're for the high jump with that too, in any other circumstances  ;)

I hate to tell you, but if you turn up on a city / large town allotment with a gun or crossbow or bow and arrow you are likely to meet an armed response unit. If you survive the encounter you may have internet access from HMP Slade, I'm not sure  ;)

a bit ott, but i respect your desicion.
i live in the countryside and weapons are used against pests on a daily basis.infact as landowners we have an obligation to keep our land pest free.
as regards pics of an air rifle,i think todays children play far more violent games on their pcs.
netting will be fine in urban areas, but some of us more rural folk prefer to shoot and eat.

Not at all OTT in my opinion, the fact that children play on violent games isnt really applicable on AVG, its not a Call of Duty website after all.

I have no problems personally with shooting pests, but the fact is, the majority of people arent lucky enough to live in a rural area and it wouldnt occur to them that they could get a gun and shoot a pest, never mind that fact that we would get arrested or shot on the spot for possibly being armed and dangerous

So please remember all you lucky rural people..that we cant do that, and some dont want to.. and some even something we dont find palatable in the first place

No, it's not too late. I'm way behind this year what with books and so on but there's a lot that will do OK if sown / planted now
