Slugs
« on: May 12, 2009, 20:21 »
Do slugs always leave a trail? I've just returned from our plot where our newly planted cabbages have been eaten. I can't find any trail. The netting wasn't totally secure due either the high winds or that we're complete novices. So now we're paranoid about birds and slugs. Any clues would be most welcome.

Have a good look on the leaves as cabbage white butterflies have been reported in the past couple of weeks.
Cheese makes everything better.

Could it have been pigeons getting in and eating them?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Thanks Ice, I'll do that tomorrow.

Yorkie1, I'm sort of hoping it is pigeons, it'll taught me a valuable lesson it securing netting.
