Its 75ml bags so bigger than the normal ones but prices vary in different branches. They were cheaper than the buy 3 for £12 deals in garden centers.Ask them for lots of discount, they can lower the prices as they have a max discount level and they dont want to loose a sale.
I bought a bag of compost from B&Q and from the local garden center and found polythene and plastic in both where as the TP stuff was dark and earthy  :D

Asda do an excellent compost. 70 litre bags -two for £6. Black and totally free from any rubbish. I have had 8 bags so far.

Incidentally  Fruitfull--75ml is about a bucketful but I doubt if you meant that. ;)

i cant believe folk buy that rubbish.your plants are only as good as the compost you sow them in.
cutting corners dosen't work in this game.Levingtons or Humax composts are some of the finest on the market.
Focus do a line called PAYLESS i wouldn't even class it as a growing medium.

As i have mentioned before in another thread there has been some terrible compost about this yr  >:( . The green bag from tesco has been one of the worse ive ever seen like bark chippings.

I have been  sticking to levingtons for a while now a bit more expensive but worth it.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

The bag of Levingtons compost I used had almost as much junk (wood/plastic/glass) in it as anything else I've tried so far this year, which includes both focus and B&Q stuff.

I used some lidls grow bag compost to top up a couple of tom tubs. Very dark almost silt like and quite claggy, so mixed in some wilko forest gold which is very fibrous and twiggy.
Don`t think i`d want to use either on its own .

Our lotty association got in a range of composts, one of which is Clover multipurpose - absolutely fabulous, no lumps or anything stick-like.  Deffo be getting it again next year.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

i used john innes once and it killed plants as their boots were always in damp as it retains water too much  ::)
Digger its true honest the TP stuff is brilliant but then maybe thats the south supplier. Not sure if it all would come from the same supplier across the country though.
