If it has flowers like cow parsley then it is pignut. If so the bulb is edible.

I may be wrong ,but i dont know of any weed that has a bulb at the bottom.However i dont know what it is sorry.



I was always told the definition of a "weed" is any plant growing where you dont want it.

Definitely a Pignut, you need to dig down and remove the nut or it will regrow. These are commonly found in ground which has previously been grassland or meadow.
You can wash and peel the nut and eat it, quite tasty, the nut can grow up to 25mm across.
Always look ahead, there are no regrets in that direction
