It's a bit too limey for spuds IMO, makes them scabby......others may disagree tho :D

It is alkaline so choose something that likes alkaline soil.
No idea what potatoes like, but it sounds like they don't like it to be alkaline.

I use a lot of it but never ever on potatoes as lime content can be very high. Peas and beans and brassicas love it and it conditions soil beautifuilly. Good to handle and to dig in
