My Chicks have Klingons
« on: May 05, 2009, 20:36 »
Klingons is what I called them at school.  Anyway seriously I have 11 chicks and two of the Dorkings have got Klingons (poo that has dried in the chick fluff).
I have dampened the fluff and massaged the Klingons till they could be removed.   My last batch of Chicks did not have a problem with Klingons is the normal or should I call the Federation.

 when we had all the chicks (from when my original girlies hatched) it was mainly the boys that had klingons  ??? but they actually liked having their little bottoms cleaned with warm water and would fall asleep in my hand

S*** Happens Rough :D

Seriously keep a close eye on pasted vents, keep the area clean :) It can get caked on and dry with the heat then stops anymore passing through and the chicks could explode  Well they get ill

What we call that here is pasty butt. After a few days it should clear up on it's own. It's main cause is stress and possibly chilling like they spent too much time away from the light. Just keep it cleaned off and they should be fine.
