Hello, just (about a wk ago) planted a few chitted charlotte spuds in a planter outside, now not sure what I'm supposed to be doing I've covered them over completely with about inch of soil, nothing has come up (impatient!) I've uncovered one & all the little leaves are dead but its now covered in little roots    Is this the normal way for spuds to go or have I done something wrong? Thanks in advance

Just leave them for a while you have to give them time to grow you know
When they show through about 4 in add asome more compost to nearly cover (but completely cover straight away if frost is forecast) this is called earthing up and you do it a few times more untill you nearly reach the top of the pot. Then you sit and wait untill they start to flower, then you gently root around in the compost to see if the pots are big enough for you, if not wait a little while longer.
