My understanding was that it was due to be withdrawn from sale last October.  I have never used it so I don't know whether it is a mad EU rule or perhaps it has something in it that is bad when passed through the food chain. :(

I bought some the other day - Derris dust that is.  I think it's another one of those where the manufacturers can't afford all the expense of the rigmarole with the EEC labelling rules etc

I think I heard somewhere that someone may yet save the day

I've still got some Derris liquid too

I read that one of the chemicals has been linked to Parkinson's

but I'm sure the regulation hurdles are part of the ban as well...

To answer the specific point raised about date of sale etc, it has been illegal to advertise, sell or supply Derris products (liquid or dust) since 10 October 2008, and will be illegal to use it after 10 October 2009.
