Pickwick (Runner Bean)

I bought some of these owing to the fact that growing standard runners up in Orkney is a bit hit and miss with the wind we get and runners being tall.

Set off a couple of seeds early (One came up) and another dozen last week.

How tall do these get as the early one is about 10 inches tall and I just realised it could almost fully grown 

I was intending growing this early one in a pot in my conservatory.

I guess those are Beetroot's or Swiss Chard on the left, on that basis I would guess about 2 foot tall so my solitary one is still only a teenager (But growing fast as I just had to pot him on to a 9 inch pot).


Yes he will go outside the door once flowering.


The others (Still not showing) will go with the other Beans, Peas and Sweet Peas when it's time.
