I have mine in a plastic storage box big one with 2 x 60 watt bulbs and thats doing ok, you should be able to get a good temp with just one bulb in a small area :)

It's not ideal, but use a 60w on a desk lamp over for now, at least provides some further warmth. That with the waterbottle wrapped in a towel should help on temperature. Poor little mite, I hope he/she makes it  :(

This lot of ducklings were spoilt with  a proper heat lamp but the last lot did very well under a table lamp.
If you can get hold of some proper chick crumbs it will do better (make sure they are not medicated).
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Most chick crumbs contain coccidiostats so not suitable.
I would go for duck starter crumbs.
