SILVERY FILIMENTS IN THE ROOSTING AREA

Does anyone know why there are silvery filiments in the roosting area of my chicken ark. They are very light and easily blown by the wind.

My 3 hens seem happy and are not missing feathers. Could it be a buy product of preening?? :?

Nathan, i've seen a similar thing in pigeon lofts, i think its the poultry equivelent of dandruff, i think its called bloom, not sure whether thats 100% correct, as i've just dragged it from the cobwebs at the back of my mind

Yes, i would say that it looks very much like dandruff. Do i need to worry about 'bloom' ??
