dwarf green bean failure

hi ya all,just wondered if someone could shed some light on a problem please,i sowed some dwarf green beans (stanley,from dobies)about 3 week ago in some paper pots,i did pre soak them over night,but as yet there is no sign of life,they are in a mini greenhouse,so where am i going wrong,was it the presoaking that has stoppem them germinating,or the mini greenhouse being too hot,any ideas please.

A mini greenhouse can get very hot, as you seem to have suspected. This, coupled with overwatering as peapod suggest can cause the bean to rot.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Keep the compost moist but not soaked - a spray bottle is good for this,and remove the GH cover during the day (as long as it doesnt revert to sub-zero temps!)
Plenty of time to sow more,Ive only just done mine

A spray bottle? OMG why didn't I think of that?  No wonder all my beans drowned if all they need is spraying!  Hah! What a dimwit  ::)

I find the water bottles that you squeeze good for my pots, just a quick squeeze if they look dry. They're much easier to control than a watering can :)

Hi, or a pump hand sprayer, all beans are likely to rot if overwatered.
