I think you have cornered the market in cat litter trays

Those poor cats with their legs crossed  ;)

Supply & demand.

I have the supply AND am creating the demand!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Sowed all my beans last Sunday. None of them have popped up yet though... I'm very impatient...  :(

Will plant out first weekend of June hopefully.

Started mine in greenhouse a few weeks ago. They are now about 6 ins tall and I'm anxious to put them out, but will wait a couple of weeks now I've read all the comments.
I started out with nothing.....and I've still got most of it.

There seem to be loads of questions like this around the forum and I think the following quick quiz can help give you the answer:

Your view on the lottery:

a) I never buy a ticket it is a waste of time you can’t win; or
b) I sometimes buy a ticket, you never know; or
c) I bought a ticket and will win this week – the Porsche is on order.

Interpretation of your answer:

a) NO don’t plant anything out – wait until August and cover it all with fleece; or
b) Maybe better to wait a little, could plant now if no alternative, but keep a back up plan; or
c) YES go for it, no chance of frost now – haven’t you heard of global warming?

(It’s Friday afternoon – what do you expect  ;))

I'm the same. I have the seeds chitting, waiting to go in paper pots.

How on earth do you chit beans   Sorry to sound saft but never heard of this!  I just sow directly into pots to transplant later - is this why mine tend to go mouldy?
I have a pair of secateurs and I'm not afraid to use them!!

I'm going to be brave and plant some out today round an obelisk and fleece them for a while. If they cark it (which is entirely possible), I can resow - short of beans I ain't.

Put some damp kitchen roll on bottom of tupperware dish, cover with some more damp tissue seal and put somewhere warm. Check daily and as soon as the roots can be seen you pot up gently, being careful not to break little roots off. it just makes sure that you only use viable seeds, rather than waste compost on dud uns.

Not sure mine will survive. I fleeced them and within a nanosecond one of the cats had snuggled up on the nice bed Mum had provided. I'd already chased her off a tray of stocks and caught her about to swing from a hanging basket. She's a menace.

Mine went out last week   No choice, sown too early & they shot off, couldn't contain em in the cold frame any longer.

I know it's very early, but there's rolls of fleece ready and 2 buckets full of back-ups just showing their heads in the greenhouse, so I'm not panicking - they'll live & give beans, or they won't & their younger counterparts will  :D
