Most pull through, not with great result as far as peas are concerned. An easy answer is don't do early outdoor sowings, you should be OK nowish...

Why are u saying it mainy affects early crops gobs?

Gobs is right, but with later sowings comes other problems (powdery mildew). I guess the key is to be forewarned and forearmed for anything that may come up, and then we can sow along the season to our hearts content  :D

Can someone suggest a particular chemical for this problem as I have googled with no result. appart from Derris which is hard to get hold of these days as it has been withdrawn.

My Broad Beans are getting a hammering and I have a new row just showing through I dont want then to go the same way  :mad:

Look for bifenthrin, but Ive never tried it so dont know how efficient it is. Spray now before the flowers open

Well i bought some bifenthrin  :( and sprayed it on my peas. Had to if i wanted any crop.
Will keep everone posted if and when things improve.

Bang go my organic peas! Damm Weevils!!

unbelievable! i have just been reading a book about this very thing and apparently only really happens to early crops as was said earlier in the thread! de'javu or what!!!1 :blink:
