They have got scorched i think they have shriveld some leaves and look like they have had it potted on some that looked like they might be ok.  Have some more to pot on that are over crowded in trays.

Or could it be something else its been a cracking day today im thinking about some shade netting in the green house tomorrow

I would put your caulis outside if I were you, brassicas don't really like heat. If you do any more, move them outside as soon as they germinate. Or a coldframe.

Hi,

Last year I planted brassica seeds outside, and most of them did not germinate (we have very wet, heavy clay).
So this year I thought I'd do them proud and put them in modules in compost in a greenhouse. All off them died.

Turns out (through help on this forum) that brassica's really dislike overly warm, humid conditions (such as those found in a greenhouse).

I've re-seeded,  and now they live outside unprotected, still in modules, in the day, and at night I cover them up with a polythene/fleece sheet. Its working a treat so far.

If you're soil is not horrific, like mine, they should be fine just planted out where they will live.

I can empathise with you as my whole planted in a cold frame Brussels died on me yesterday do to what I think was the heat. ( left the cover on in the nice weather we've had.) They were fine one day and dead the next.

My leeks have hardly showed through also so I'm guessing the same fate has occoured with them?

I'm new to this growing lark so trial and error is going to be very much a part of my growing this year.

Now I know not to leave brassicas in a  closed cold frame in hot conditions!

I'm going to repot what I lost tomorrow. keep them cool and cross my fingers :)
